Get the 2011 Literary Guide for Authors and Illustrators, or something like that. Lists all aspects & walks you through it. An independent resource, you don't need an agent yet.

Scoliosis and a curve to the right causing lots of discomfort and pain and told that surgery is not an option I am 58 and very uncomfortable and unable to walk can you recomend a solution thankyou gillian

Sorry to hear this. I have slight scoliosis with sideways curve and sway back. For lower back I put a board under a memory foam - VERY rigid but woke up without tightness. Maybe there's an organization for scoliosis that can make a suggestion. I use a walker only so I can walk as straight up as much aS possible and DO NOT carry heavy bags thaqt make things lopsided & worse. Try a 4-wheeled walker? Thru insurance or at drug store. There are some Medline ones that only weigh 11 pounds (Walgreen's), like mine. Take care! Good luck... (I'm 48)

If you can't earn 3 degrees in anthropology today, try humility to show you are open to learning, then ask questions. You can also relate examples of how you would do/believe things differently. Then the new understanding will lead to greater mutual respect and personal or profressional trust. Be yourself and allow them to be themselves. If talking about a whole culture, call a local church/group/etc. of the culture and ask for materials you can learn from.

Hawaii no ka oi! Lived there 15 years; moving back this year. If you only think about what you see (yes, my friends tell nme about the changes), you miss the way of life. I can't find it on mainland, not even in San Diego. And it is clean!

Mrs. Dodson (5th grade) was my only friend - I was new in school and the bully girl beat me up after school. (I faked the pain so she'd stop right away, but still). I always rememeber Mrs. Dodson because there's always more good than bad.

If this is happening, even in early stage, get to your doctor, okay? I've heard of post-polio syndrome if you were exposed to the virus way back... paralysis Muscular dystrophy (in specific patterns) sadly, many difficult diseases, but they're rare. good luck, MaryMary

Stress may or may not cause hair loss. May be genentic. I lost most of my hair all of a sudden on the bathroom floor exactly 6 months AFTER I had completed surgery & treatment for pancreatic cancer, because the stress interrupted the normal growth cycle. It's a condition that has a long name, but it was too stressful to remember it. :-) I beat the cancer obviously - full head of thick wavy hair! Peace everyone!

You'll feel better as soon as you address the facts: you have a baby inside you and you have an illness. You really need that Dr. to get it sorted out. People have strong opinions about these things based on their own experiences. One day you will too. Till then, drop the fear and let someone else take care of you medically. Someone mentioned the E.R. - I agree, unless you have a social worker you can work with quickly. Just do what they say for treatment. Consider adopting out your baby - you can't provide for it right now. My cousins had to do that, and my cousins went on to have wonderful famililes and moer children with their husbands. Picture yourself healthy and happy - others have done it!
