Hi leeroy....did you say this when you were a child: "Ladybug, ladybug, fly away home...your house is on fire, your children alone"...kind of creepy really though...we use to say this when one landed on our bodies
    leeroy

No I've never heard that one, kind of creepy... We were told that when a ladybug landed on you it was good luck.

Yes, people said that in my childhood, back when dinosuars roamed the earth. It's merely a child's nursery ryhme

I am with you on the bugs ladybird
    mycatsmom

Yes, that was a nursery ryhme. We said that too, in the 50s.

Hmmm, you sound like you know from what you speak.
Silk worms, butter flies , dragon flies , scorpions, spiders, beetles, bees , so many more. I watched a huge Terranchelor wasp drag a trap door spider out of its burrow and fly off with it dangling below its bating wings. The wasp was 3 inches long and the spider was bigger.
i like the noisy crickets and cicadas. wish i knew where to get a cd of night sounds. i`d sleep wonderfully!
Right now, it's bees for me....my other half has started beekeeping on the roof of our two-flat....I'm waiting for the honey...yum, yum!
    BUTTERFIY

But they are so cool and have fuzzy undersides :)
    mycatsmom

June bugs used to be so thick all over our back porch , in the night summer time, that we could hardly get into the house. But that's mainly b/c the outside light was on . Hate them, and spiders, centipedes, milliapedes, and Rose Bugs.
Dung Beetle and the stink bug. They have a mission!
    Paul and George.
I'm not crazy about most bugs (except butterflies and fireflies). I like the fact that bees make honey but I still don't like being around them.
We Call it the LadyBird it has red shell and black spots as I have noticed that Leeroy called it a ladybug !
    mycatsmom

It depends on which state you live in. We call them lady bugs here too, in Michigan.
