Casey Anthony not guilty. What are your thoughts?
Answers: 17 Views: 1264 Rating: 12 Posted: 12 years ago
This has restored my faith in the Justice system. We MUST live by the law of innocent until PROVEN guilty no matter what emotional opinions we may carry. Even if a person admits to killing another person the EVIDENCE must prove it was done. All this prosecution had was theories. We cannot convict on theories. Personally, I believe Casey had some kind of culpability in this death, but the prosecution really overreached with premeditated murder, as they so often do.

I was a Pharisee, I eagarly hunted down Christians and hauled them off to prision, who am I?

What is so fascinating about Paul is that He had it all! He was a Roman citizen, freeborn he said, meaning that he did not have to earn it as some did, but was born a Roman. Rome was the super power of the era. If you were a Roman you had superiority over all other people groups. Paul was also a Jew. This gave Paul another advantage, for the Jews were allowed to govern themselves on their own religious matters, it was like we enjoy having freedom in our religion here in the USA, but back then only the Jews religion experienced this freedom, and not because Rome recognized God in any way, but because the Jews did well at paying the Roman authority bribes and helping them sway the people as the Roamns seen fit. Not only was Paul a Jew, but Paul was also a Pharisee within the Jews religion and not just any old Pharisee but a top ranking Pharisee, having power and priviledges of the highest regards. So it begs the question...why would a man who has achieved such a high place of honor and recognition in the society in which he lived, one could say he had it all, he had it made, why would such a man throw it all away, trade it if you will, to embrace riddicule, persecution and the outcasting from the top position one could hold within his religion? Paul claimed Jesus met him while on the road to Damascus to round up some more Christians for prison. Jesus asked Saul, "why do you persecute Me". Did Saul really meet Jesus that day? Well after that day Saul stopped hunting down Christians and gave up his position as Pharisee. After that day Paul began preaching Jesus Christ and Him crucified for the forgiveness of sins. After that day Paul would take severe beatings because he preached Jesus is Lord, he was stoned on three seperate occassions and let for dead. Several times he was punished with 39 lashes accross the back and he spent many days and months in prison, shackled to a wall, all because of that one day he said Jesus met him and spoke with Him. Quite a powerful piece of history recorded in Paul's life as just one piece of evidence for a risen Lord! Something turns this man's life upside right for Jesus Christ. Once he set out to have Christians killed and Christianity snuffed out, but then a complete 180 and he begins preaching Jesus is risen from the dead and suffers tremendusly for his new found belief and way of life. Does it make any human sense for one to give up a life of wealth and priviledge for prision and persecution for no good reason? I believe Paul had a good reason and that Jesus must have met him just as he said He did for Paul to have such a change of life. Fascinating indeed!

Do angels, transformed into humans, walk among us?
Answers: 16 Views: 2365 Rating: 8 Posted: 12 years ago
The Word of God says that there are tens of thousands of angels in heaven that worship Jesus and those who go to heaven will worship God with the angels, this will be neat.... Rev 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Rev 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

What do you think Lucifer (satan) looks like?
Answers: 15 Views: 816 Rating: 2 Posted: 12 years ago
Someone in another thread had brought up the Priest abusing children problem in an attempt to label Christians as no different than any other religious group of people. As always, I have reitterated over and over that not all who say they are Christian are truly children of God according to God's very Word. I mention this because the scripture I'm going to post speaks about these false apostles who claim they are of God and also is relevant to this thread concerning what satan can look like today. 2Cr 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2Cr 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or [if] ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with [him]. ............ 2Cr 11:13 For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 2Cr 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 2Cr 11:15 Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. God Bless!

You guys are making me laugh! I guess the question was a good set up for it. Be nice though, I hope they know you are just kidding. Really though, if you knew what the bible said about satan's looks you are actually saying that these people you speak of are the most beautiful creatures ever created!

WHAT ABOUT "FAITH" IS SO DIFFICULT?
Answers: 10 Views: 860 Rating: 7 Posted: 12 years ago
Faith has no meaning unless it is attached to something or someone. Everyone must exercise faith throughout their lives in many ways at different times in their lives. Is faith "difficult"? Sometimes. Is faith in God difficult? Not really if one only looks at the world they live in, all the millions of species and the complexity of it all. The real difficulty is submission. People do not like the idea that they are not in control of their own life. They want to be the last word for themselves, their own god and form their own beliefs about religion or create a god in their own image of what they believe a God should be. God Bless!

Would I be correct to assume that in the religion of Karma/Reincarnation that..........?
Answers: 17 Views: 2663 Rating: 5 Posted: 12 years ago
Greetings Eggplant, Murder is murder of course. There are actually Christians who do not see abortion as murder because they try to blur the line between just when an unborn child becomes a soul. But with the religion of reincarnation one believes that the soul is created first by God and then travels throughout time in various life forms, therefore, abortion would be murdering a soul in the religion of reicarnation. Wouldn't you agree?

what do you think about the rupture when THE LORD JESUS CHRIST returns ?
Answers: 13 Views: 947 Rating: 2 Posted: 12 years ago
The rapture will be a wonderful event for those who love His appearing! However, it will be a sad time for those who have rejected God's offer of salvation prior to this event. They will have no second chance and will believe the lie of the Antichrist.

If the bible is true how do the dinosaur skeletons fit into the time line
Answers: 7 Views: 696 Rating: 1 Posted: 12 years ago
Greetings Bestway, Let me try your theory about the dinosaurs based on the Word of God. I will ask you a couple of questions.... 1) Why would God say that everything He created was good on the sixth day if all of this "rotten flesh and disease" was happening already? Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. 2) Why do you have death and disease occuring before the sin of Adam when it is written that sin is the reason for the curse of death and disease, not only to mankind, but to the whole of creation?
