Most sites like this forbid foul language for one. "Respectful" is always going to be a judgment call. I've seen moderators warn one person for an insult and leave another slid just because of the point of view agreeing or disagreeing one way or the other with the moderator, so this never works real well.
For example, you will have people here say that I am disrespectful and this is really only because they did not like my answers. I don't think actual rudeness can be stoppped. The best we can do is do our best to not repay evil for evil and let the Light of Jesus overcome the darkness.
I'm not sure what Colleen is so upset about, the christian questions or someone who is harrassing her. If someone is harrasing her she should report them. If she doesn't like the Chrsitian questions she can certainly ignore them.
We need not point the finger at them, we only need to look to God for the solution and He has provided the cure - Jesus.
The question needs more clarification. Life is in the blood, if the blood is pumping then there is life. I think you mean when is a new soul created, at conception or at birth? This would be answered in God's word just as all matters of life and death are. God's word declares that He already knows you while He is forming you in the womb, before any of your parts are fashioned. So the answer as to whether a new soul is created at conception or birth the answer is at conception. This is why abortion is murder, the shedding of innocent blood and destroying the body of the soul which God is creating within the womb.
The karma principle does have some biblical roots. Jesus did teach that a person reaps what they sow, however to asign karma to a perfect cause and effect religion in itself is not proven to be acurate. At the end of this life is judgment, not another life to get it right or do better. THose found to be in Christ will be pardoned from the second death, but will still have to give an account for what they have done while in the body whether it be good or bad. Those NOT found to be in Christ will be ressurrected again to life only to be seperated from God for ever being thrown into the lake of fire, this is the second death.
How about our atheist friends here on site, what would be your answer?
Andrew,
just start a new thread with this question, she basically said she wasn't looking for a debate.
Does anybody want to take a stab at this?
I'm not experiencing any problems.
God has given us so much evidence to believe it is no wonder no one will have an excuse.
