2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, To understand OSAS one must understand Grace. Rom 11:6 And if by grace, then [is it] no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if [it be] of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Life after Death Vs Reincarnation
Answers: 11 Views: 4656 Rating: 4 Posted: 13 years ago
Reincarnation could make some sense if the person could carry forward the past life knowledge so they could better themselves if that is what the goal of reincarnation is. BUt the way is stands and is taught is very hopeless.

You've got to be taught to hate.
Answers: 15 Views: 1948 Rating: 1 Posted: 12 years ago
The question is "You've got to be taught to hate"? The answer is NO. Hate comes from the sinful nature of fallen mankind. It is within the DNA from conception and easily manifest itself as soon as physically possible. It is natural for a person to hate, but hate can also be taught and is taught form little up. It is also natural for a person to love and love is also taught from littile up as well. This proves the bible correct once again. Both good and evil has existed from Adam and is being manifested in mankind. The only cure is Jesus Christ.

If one is saved by grace through faith and this not of ones self but a gift from God (Eph 2) then how does a withering wasteful life change the free gift? Is one saved by grace and not of yourself or is one saved by works and good deeds?

How can one stop believing in that which they have a personal knowledge of is an absolute truth? Jhn 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: Jhn 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand.

What is the difference between Judging and Rebuking/Reproving?
Answers: 3 Views: 1507 Rating: 0 Posted: 13 years ago
I asked this question because I often here even Christians throw the "do not judge" commandment around when it comes to just about every comment concerning conversations of right and wrong. Are Christians just ignorant about the scriptures or are they willfully choosing to cherry pick the scriptures they feel comfortable with while ignoring the scriptures that cause them to accept the reality that the Word of God teaches both tolerance and intolerance depending on the subject?

where in the bible does it say Jesus created the world
Answers: 4 Views: 790 Rating: 1 Posted: 13 years ago
Chapter One of Genesis God created. Jesus is God. Speaking of Jesus Paul writes.... Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son: Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins: Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. God Bless!

Was Paul the Apostle a Saint?
Answers: 7 Views: 633 Rating: 1 Posted: 13 years ago
Chrstians are declared saints by God through the gift of eternal life through belief in the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. As Colleen noted, many christians do not represent holiness very well, even the true ones. This is sad and this is wrong. Let's get with it christians and put on Christ!

Robert, I like how you said "strange idea". It is strange indeed. God becoming a man to die for the sins of His children. Could man come up with such a story???
