Do you have the ability to share feel the pain of others? I am an empath, I have the ability to take on myself the actual pain of others when I touch them. It can be excruciating. I found this out when I tried to become a masseur. Yes, I believe that God can feel our pain.

    Hope this helps,

Yes I believe he does he knows all our hurts and pain and all our joys too.

God is all knowing known as Omnipotent, All-Knowing. So he must feel our pains, hurts and happiness.
    Does this help I hope.

if god is al knowing then it doesnt mean he feels your pain. i can have the knowledge of u having pain without feeling the pain myself.

Romans 8:26, Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Hebrews 4:15, For we have not an high priest (Jesus Christ) which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.

The bible has an answer for every question about life and God, why we are here, why we act the way we do, right and wrong, love and hate.

God knows our pain. He is, was, and always will be. If he needed help, would he ask us? I just think we create much of or own pain and want God to bail us out. He is so maginificen and forgiving that he always does. Jesus, my savior, is also no stranger to our pain. Anyway, read Job.

Teacher,I agree with you,we do cause a lot of our own pain, and then cry on Jesus's shoulder, thank you Jesus for continuing to forgive and love a sinner like me.(Jesus is love)!

    Mark999

'Teacher', please give an example of God's forgiveness and how this has been confirmed, if possible without referring to the scriptures. If I limit you to God's manifestations in, say, the last 1,000 years, that should give you scope for many examples.

    I feel my childrens pain...

    PEOPLELOVER

SO DO I JENN HOWEVER IT IS NOT ME THAT CAUSED THE PAIN IN THE FIRST PLACE> GOD ACCORDING TO BELIEVERS CAUSES EVERYTHING.

I don't think He literally "feels" our pain but I do believe He knows when we are in pain and helps if He feels we need help.
Yes he stills feels the pain of the world.A lot of people say within their hearts why does HE allow so much suffering etc.GOD put man in charge of the earth
and GOD wont change his MIND.when ADAM fell SATAN became
the RULER of the WORLD this why it is in such a mess he loves kill make people sick and start wars.GOD is the total opposite HE is love and promises to be with you through the GOOD times and BAD times.PLEASE seek JESUS the choice is up to you love to you all

I know for a fact he feels our pain, and at times I feel his, every time we let him down and hurt one another we are hurting each other and him, all we can do is live one day at a time and try and make him happy, there will be mistakes along the way,but we are only human, and he understands that, that's why he continues to forgive.I sure do love you Jesus for loving a sinner like me!

    IluvJesus

Well first off you should not be called people lover, more like people and faith hater, don't call me out on my faith,my faith is real,Jesus is very real, and by the way you make no sense at all.I feel bad that your state of existence stops here.

    IluvJesus

We all feel differently and react differently, anger and hurt reside in my heart, hurt that people are choosing to not recognize my father, keep in my mind only Jesus was perfect, you, nor I are not, hatred I think not, ''REALITY'' I KNOW SO,MARINATE ON IT.(JESUS IS LOVE)PEACE!

    IluvJesus

Well I'm glad to know you don't hate, but sad to know you don't believe, wish you the best always.

How in the name of all that is can you say you know for a fact.Have you a letter from him or a telephone call. Dont tell me it is written in the bible. The bible was written by story tellers and is full of anomalies. It also tells porn stories for the amusement of mankind. I doesnt? what about David shagging one of his soldiers wife then sending the soldier into battle to get him killed. What about "he spilt his seed on the ground? What about the men who wanted to have sex with the daughter and mother and the father said "do with me as you will"

    PEOPLELOVER

I DO NOT HATE PEOPLE WHO HAVE FAITH IN FACT I DON`T HATE ANY THING. SOME I DISLIKE, BUT NEVER HATE , WHAT I DO DISLIKE IS PEOPLE CLAIMNG THEY KNOW IT ALL WITHOUT ANY THOUGHT OR RESPECT FOR THOSE THAT CHOOSE OTHERWISE. YOUR FACEITIOUS COMMENTS DO YOU NO KINDNESS NAUGHTY NAUGHTY CHRISTIANS. I HEARD ABOUT A BLOKE WHO SAID "LET HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN" WELL YOU KNOW THE STORY.

    papa peg

Do you really know JESUS.I know JESUS and i don't have all that hate in my heart.

GOD said when we get to HEAVEN.There will be no more pain or suffering. And he will wipe away our tears.

God is the greatest lover of us all. Think about how you feel when someone you love is suffering...often times it can be quite unbearable to watching a loved one go through a painful experience. Likewise I think God shares in our suffering and hardship...he loves us too much to abandon us like that.

    Hi Guys,
    That includes girl guys. LOL

There is a lot of pain and suffering out there and it is not just people who do not believe.
I would like to be of some help if I may. But there are far too many of you to deal with individually.
Some of us are inclined to believe the bible is the word of the True God. Jesus Christ certainly did when he prayed concerning his apostles as follows:

Jesus spoke these things, and, raising his eyes to heaven, he said: “Father, the hour has come; glorify your son, that your son may glorify you, 2 according as you have given him authority over all flesh, that, as regards the whole [number] whom you have given him, he may give them everlasting life. 3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. 4 I have glorified you on the earth, having finished the work you have given me to do. 5 So now you, Father, glorify me alongside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was.
6 “I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observed your word. 7 They have now come to know that all the things you gave me are from you; 8 because the sayings that you gave me I have given to them, and they have received them and have certainly come to know that I came out as your representative, and they have believed that you sent me forth. 9 I make request concerning them; I make request, not concerning the world, but concerning those you have given me; because they are yours, 10 and all my things are yours and yours are mine, and I have been glorified among them.

The above is a few verses from John 17
What conclusions should you have come to is you have read it properly?
Permit me to tell you mine.

First the bible IS a letter from the true GOD. The evidence is astronomical to serious bible students.
( But we will still get earache from some wally who will falsely claim it cannot be proved.)
That these are an accurate translation of the prayer of Jesus after his resurrection but before his ascension into heaven. Therefore Jesus is not GOD otherwise he would be praying to himself wouldn't he.

Second he was very concerned about the the men he was leaving behind because he knew they would suffer at the hand of religious leaders and be dragged into courts on trumped up false charges just as they are today and even put to death.

Thirdly Jesus existed in the heavens when GOD created the earth. Therefore he know better than anybody what GOD is like and why intelligent humans humans had to hide themselves and their families in caves to avoid the attentions of evil marauders.

Fourthly: Everybody on this planet dies but not many have been resurrected.

Now friends there is an awful lot of research here. I cannot claim that I originated it but I did make a serious effort to learn how to understand the truth and avoid the pitfalls of both pseudo science as well as false religious teaching.

Thank you for reading thus far.

    How would I know?
That's why I get disgusted with people who
say THIS IS THE WAY IT IS about Heaven, or
what God thinks, etc. etc. etc.
There are some things we are not going to
KNOW until we die. I assume we'll know then.

    FriendofGod

While there are things we will not know until we see Jesus face to face, God has given us all we need to know for this life in His holy bible.

Yes, God does feel our pain and suffering. This is why He sent Jesus to show the way to heaven and to send those who believe the Holy Spirit as a Comforter. Only those who believe in Jesus and receive His salvation through regeneration can know the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

AT A ROUGH GUESS I WOULD SAY AN EMPHATIC NO! BECAUSE IF HE DID HE WOULD NOT INFLICT SO MUCH ON MANKIND AND THEIR ASSOCIATES. ANIMALS BIRD ETC ETC. THAT IS IF THERE IS A GOD>

The life in one is Holy Spirit, this Spirit, is the Presence of God, thus indeed He knows ones pain, although most all pain is generated by ones freewill the gift of God to create, therefore ones own choices in this existence does one suffer the pain of them.

I believe in god our holy father and heaven, and i believe when we pray 2 him when we are in pain or hurting he listen's. you need to invite god into your heart and repent for your'e sins though as it is a two way street.

If there was a God, and that God was omnipotent, then He could if he wanted too. But why would he want to if He could? That is the better question. Why would God want to experience pain? And if He can not feel our pain, then he would not be omnipotent. And if God is not omnipotent, why call Him a God?

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

if god could feel our pain why would he make himself suffer?i thought god was suppose to be smart

When I read posts like Bestway's I wonder if I am am living in the 21st century or the 17th. In attempting to apply logic (although in an absurdly subjective bastardised form) to largely symbolic writing from past millennia it almost always ends up sounding like a comedy sketch. It's like taking lyrics from 1960's pop songs and attempting to interpret them as a dissertation on the human condition . It dissolves into absurdity because they are a product of their times, a mirror of their contemporary society, as are religious texts.

Perhaps you are 'happy' because of your faith and that's great, for you. Humanity has been burdened with the facility to endlessly ask 'why' and thereby gradually chip away at superstition and ignorance. The type of 'thinking' you favour is the same misguided 'logic' that allowed men in 17th century England to 'know' that throwing an elderly woman into a river to observe whether she sank or swam would prove, with God's help, whether she was a witch or not.

You are on your own in the cosmos. It's painful to accept, but the voices in your head telling you you're special are not divine.
    Best of luck.

if a "god" could feel all the worlds pain it would be in agony! what with all the murders, rapes, genocide, infanticide, ethnic cleansing, slavery, poverty, disease, paedophilia, torture, war etc etc.....

do you really think in your comfortable western lifestyle you actually feel any REAL pain?

unless you have suffered any of the above of course!

    robertgrist

I’ve been through all that and quite a few more besides your little list and live happily waiting for whatever could be next. To me it’s all part of the adventure of living and when I am born wherever, I always choose to remember all that went before. I prefer not to bring suffering to God so I treat my body with dignity and respect knowing God knows when I suffer. I don’t harm the creations of God either for the same reason.
