I am also retired, my wife keeps my time card close to her vest! We do have an arrangement, I work on any projects for our and the homes of our kids, and I get to live with her...
Has anybody seen my car keys, I lost them here somewhere..... Oh maybe there!
If they are stuck and bled as in Kosher killing, that is something to consider as humane, however, beating and tormenting them prior to slaughter is not humane. I did not see this coverage, but can imagine it. As an Animal agriculturalist, I can tell you that it is not only for the humanity, but the quality of the product, that animals should be harvested as humanely as possible. You see, if they are overly stressed, adrenalin flows and it tenses up the muscles (meat) and they are tough. Also, they do not bleed out correctly, causing poor quality, with excessive blood in the tissues. Successful farmers learn this, and realize that they get less production from animals who are not handled and raised properly, so it hits them in the pocketbook, as well...
...."You can have them mashed, fried, steamed, baked, ..." (as Bubba Gump would say)
Of course you have your children vaccinated, looking at the statistics, it is way better to do than not. Look at the quality of life in countries which do not!

I do believe it is true. . The media has caused the public to become zombies and watch and think like the set tells them to almost. With everything a 'reality show", it becomes addictive to some, draws them into the trance... Many Americans are uninformed about their own government, and apathetic to the process anyway, so the reality show becomes their focus in life, with them voting constantly. I have watched some, for as long as I can stand it, maybe one or two episodes, and have never voted for any. I do vote in most all elections.
I hope the author of that obituary is pondering his place in society, and maybe what his own obituary would read. It made me chuckle to myself as I mentally wrote mine...
I have had many relatives who have suffered prolonged pre-death lives, and upon seeing what they endured, and knowing that they would have chosen to control their death, and died with dignity, I support it with provisions. Jack Kevorkian was a Dr. who should have been celebrated, and supported, I feel.
Same old stuff, different day. Just living the dream!
