Cruelty to any animal is despicable, I don't think this is an isolated incident.

    Indeed. :(

I had to turn my head when this video aired on the news last night, but I could everything that was being said and it made my stomach turn.  Kicking animals in the head, standing on top of their necks and lifting them up by their ears to through them onto the conveyor belt is cruel.

I know where you're coming from Dennis but I will refrain from comment at the moment.

Cruel way? What are you talking about? What is an uncruel way to kill any living thing? Here in the states, high pressured air guns are usually used. Is this less mean?

The high pressure guns are to stun the Animials ,prior to them being killed julie, hear in the u/k four slauter houses have been closed down due to c/t/v cameras showing crualty of an unspeakable nature,

A rod is shot into the skull and air pressure to blow the brains up…….

Hmm,i think in the u/k it just stunes them uncosious, prior to them being killed in away that is not so crual,??

    How? Like maybe a Gallatin?

If they are stuck and bled as in Kosher killing, that is something to consider as humane, however, beating and tormenting them prior to slaughter is not humane.  I did not see this coverage, but can imagine it.  As an Animal agriculturalist, I can tell you that it is not only for the humanity, but the quality of the product, that animals should be harvested as humanely as possible.  You see, if they are overly stressed, adrenalin flows and it tenses up the muscles (meat) and they are tough.  Also, they do not bleed out correctly, causing poor quality, with excessive blood in the tissues.  Successful farmers learn this, and realize that they get less production from animals who are not handled and raised properly, so it hits them in the pocketbook, as well...

IF that is thier way of killing animals,by all means let them do it in thier own countrys,or abide by the laws of the hosts countrys,

    I agree fully, Hector..

    Ditto.

and this is why they have the same level of compassion when they cut the throat of a human,,if you have no compassion for animal life,,then you will not have any compassion for human life,,,I would like to say a WHOLE lot more,,but then i would only upset the bleeding hearts and myself....>>>>><<<<<
