Another left field view point by yours truly

1.  Morality isn't a fed gov area to resolve.  Many try to drag the FG into the fight hopefully to reinforce their point of view by whatever means.  Just means more controls over an opposing view point resulting in more political division.

2.  If you want to get the FG involved you  have to convert an issue to a  non-moral format.    Non moral decisions are supposed to be made on the basis of cost vs. degree of satisfactory result.   What would be the cost of non-mandated free FG birth   control vs. desired result:  1.  Fewer accidental pregnancies.  Removing the moral aspect.   2.  Costs saved or reduce the increase for dependant aid and timebomb costs from offspring.   A Big cost item        3. Population control.  Whether  you believe this control to be a moral issue or not, overpopulation is responsible for problems of     Environment pollution,  Hybrid farming which is becoming less disease resistant and eventually should fail according to projections, and it pollutes 100,000 year old underground water reserves which we are using,     Hybrid disease affecting humans, which presently is controlled by chemistry and eventually have its limits of affectiveness          What to do about decreasing energy resources, population requires more,  reliable alternatives at this time are human&  animal life and nature distructive.         Boundry wars and civil wars to accumulate resources and human assets and political control.

How much affect could free birth control have?  There are a lot of "IF's"  attached to birth control but viewed as a basic beginning point there could be  effective results making the cost viable.

This might be curious history for you but knowing all   doesn't mean a thing when you're  alive and all the other players are gone.   In my case personally my final thought was  "so what", doesn't  matter.

Its my understanding that a 'defaced' Koran is to be destroyed.  Whoever declared these defaced Korans to be destroyed was santifying their written word. 

Should the hands of the "desantifiers", prisoners, be cut off, maybe take away their pencils and scold them, rehabilitate them within their personal Muslim doctrine.   Should we have some Muslim do for US what the Koran would demand in this case?

I feel the president's statement, at least a few on contraceptive issue, was genuinely a search for an equallibrium solution.   Initially his inclusion of contraceptive med coverage was fodder for some to find self importance by seeking a following to their convoluted retort to the issue. 

No mater who does what for whatever reasonable or unreasonable purpose there are going to be self satisfying complainers.  Some simply looking for fame or others who simply complain about everything. 

Now, an appology to the Afgans, a childish, non-confrontational, grade school "please like me" whimp bit of showmanship.

I had a male neutered cat who simply appeared one day.  It was obvious he lived by his wits & means without a home and was probably too wild to have as a pet.  Also obviously didn't trust anybody.   He had been declawed so his only defense was to bite.  It was by then simply his nature. 

I gave him shelter, all the cat food he could consume and affection.  He became somewhat trusting and afffectionate.  Sleeping on a lap I would say is trusting.  BUT if you would move your hand too quickly anywhere in the vicinity of his body HE HAD YOU with a tight and blood drawing bite.

I tolerated this for along time feeling sorry for his history which MADE him bite.  Then one day of personal low tolerance he bit me and I retaliated with a firm but not crushing swat on the top of his head.  The bites afterward turned to playful nips and I became pack leader.   His affection remained the same  and I had earned his respect.  Things were better.
