my son is in the 2nd grade and he has to billed a leprechaun trap for school
Answers: 10 Views: 817 Rating: 4 Posted: 12 years ago

Nice :).. Be as imaginative as you can, it is an imaginary creature, so an imaginary trap can take any form. Be creative, your son has to win!. Think outside the box literally and metaphorically! :).

if u can't sleep at 2:11 AM and u just ate a chocolate bar and chocolate chip muffin what do you do to make yourself fall asleep?
Answers: 13 Views: 670 Rating: 3 Posted: 12 years ago

Chocolate increases your hyperactivity, also does the sugar. Night snacks for the sleepless are best something filling which isn't high on sugar; recommended a glass of warm milk, reading your less favoured books; mathematics for people who hate it does wonders; hunger causes lack of sleep which is why you eat cookies at night. Get onto the net and answer boring questions, that puts anyone to sleep; misspellings do that for me :)

How do I get rid of clumps of bull rush grass from my lawn?
Answers: 2 Views: 462 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago

One the tedious way, remove it by its roots and its a manual endeavour. The second is to buy a good lawn weed remover, or more specifically one that targets this kind of grass. On the net tells you the first method as given, but addresses bull thistle.

How do I help my teenager with lying for no reason
Answers: 15 Views: 640 Rating: 2 Posted: 12 years ago

She/he lies because she is afraid, and of you.. unhappily. She/he must have told the truth before and it had bad repercussions, maybe a scolding that went on and on, and was repeated because she/he made a mistake. Give her confidence by not carrying on about lying and let the matter rest. The best way to avoid lies is to avoid asking questions. No questions, no answers, no lies. And then, ask yourself, how important is it to you, that the question that you are about to ask, gets an honest answer. I know there are kids who are pregnant because of this, but that is life. You just give her/him good advise and never in the midst of a heated argument.

If my cat is 5, my rat is 4, and my puppy is 3 mos. old then how old am I?
Answers: 15 Views: 2356 Rating: 5 Posted: 12 years ago

good guess. I 'd say anything above 7 because at 5 you would not know the difference, at 6 you cannot do your maths and at anything above 7, you begin to wonder whether you will outlive your pets :). I think you will. Give them good food. I.m glad you are good at Maths, a budding scientist and probable Veterinarian in the offing :). Join the club!.

what is a good psalm for dissapointment in someone?
Answers: 3 Views: 2066 Rating: 1 Posted: 12 years ago

Judge not and you shall not be judged..

If you are disappointed in someone, you have judged him better than he actually is, and you have also caused the person to have to behave in a way that he/she is not capable of acting, therefore they will let you down all the time. Be less judgmental of them and they will then be better people, because they are allowed to behave the way that they want to behave, and its then up to you to accept them as they are for what they are without expecting anything more than they can provide. You will not be disappointed and they will not disappoint you.

Another quest within the forum...what sort of credentials do we all possess that qualify us to answer questions?
Answers: 31 Views: 2165 Rating: 12 Posted: 12 years ago

Just a teacher, an agony aunt to people on the web. 40 years of litigation doing my mothers court cases and a good background in medicine because I did the paperwork for my father who is a Vet, my brother who is a Vet, a sister who is a Doctor, and another sister who is an accountant. Have my own qualifications which I would rather not divulge, but the main purpose of being here, is my best qualification "I like People! and I like to help People, and I am non judgmental, And I don't take sides and I don't influence people with my own opinion, I just let them think things through given the facts. I also like to make the questioners independent of panels like anywhere, so that they do not have to come back to you again and again on the same subject. That's why I am a lousy businesswoman too, cos my students are left to migrate from under the wings of a teacher tutor.  I like gardening, a renaissance type of woman. Worked with Engineers, Lawyers and Pediatricians, Doctors, and that shows I am not that young! My case rests. And I will retire tonight. Good question though!. Have a pleasant evening mulling this through! And I am an ad-libber which means I try anything once, made mistakes on marriages though so that means I have to learn too!

what is meaning of" to eat your words" and it,s sentence.
Answers: 1 Views: 572 Rating: 1 Posted: 12 years ago

Phrase "to eat your words," you have made a comment or committed to a statement, and you are then proven wrong, therefore you have to eat your words and its a metaphor. The people who are thick skinned and do eat their words are often unrepentant  so their having to eat their words does not cause them any discomfort , but for those who are sensitive, the eating of their words or having to do so, causes them stomach upheavals at the very thought and they cringe and squirm over it for months after often to the detriment that they do not commit in case they are proven wrong. The former exist more often than the latter.

Not if it is with Yahoo Small business and it is matched by an ICC ruling that it takes 3 months for a refund. And Yahoo tells you so on their signing up guarantee. I am contesting this issue both with the ICC and Yahoo because the cancellation was done within the first 24 hours and they did not have the facilities that I wanted. The same goes for "Real Player", and some other companies who sell stuff online, Best bet, don't commit to a purchase nor provide payment information until you use the trial period of 1 month before committing. And you will find that like all Jonah's luck the moment you pay, the trial stuff bombs out on the real mccoy. Real Player is for movies and entertainment and unless you have a very fast machine, your movies come to you in drops and drips and the accelerator is not supported by them either.
