Elves. leprechauns. cookies. gold. I'm so confused!!!!??%&#@
    Animals are so much easier!!!!

What a wonderful opportunity to encourage him to use his imagination.  I remember some of the things my two eldest had to build..... I was applying hot glue and macaroni as they were running out the door... so much fun!

Leprechaun"s can not be caught.  Have him put a string around a paper cup , put a little stick under part of the cup to prop it up a bit.   Under the cup place a four leaf clover and a note.  Ha ha missed me!

Leprechaun's have one weakness- chocolate chip cookies!!!  So, the trap needs to have lots of homemade chocolate chip cookies in it!

    Of course!

You're talking about elves, doo! You know, keebler elves that live in the tree??

Leprechauns are all about the gold! That's it, just gold. ;)

Don't mess with leprechauns, look what happened to Ireland.

Yes, a pot of gold always does the trick as long as it's not a wee pot of gold!

I have been lucky with this kind of trap.

I was always told that if you can grab a leprechaun by the arm, he has to tell you where the gold is so that's it, grab him by the arm.......

Then he,d have to take the Leprechaun to school and let the other kids see if their traps work.
    EXCELLENT IDEA J.

Use a Barbie Doll, for sure. :D

Nice :).. Be as imaginative as you can, it is an imaginary creature, so an imaginary trap can take any form. Be creative, your son has to win!. Think outside the box literally and metaphorically! :).
