how can i improve my english?
Answers: 4 Views: 314 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago

Read out loud at least two half hours each day. Read one English novel from the 1850s to 1900 each week for 6 months, (26 books, such as the works of the Bronte sisters), reading as I said and silently the rest of the time. The english is far better than today's; you will develop vocabulary and pronunciation, comprehension and nuance.

Do NOT treat yourself as a child if you are an adult. 'Reach'.

what is OCD? what is OCD negative and positive effect on a person? is it a serious problem? can it be cure/
Answers: 2 Views: 236 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago

It is a drive, based on irrational anxiety. (So is Love for that matter)  Like any other 'way' of being a human being, OCD confers partial benefits as well as deficits. Only when it interferes with your daily living is it a 'problem' to be 'cured'. Extreme OCD can be debilitating on the person who is compelled to rituals, but in a mild form it often confers a cautious outlook that seeks out problems, even if the solving may be difficult for that person but within the purview of another skillled person. With a mild condition it may well dispose a person well to detailed, exact, accurate work.

Once you reach the maximum, and it still isn't enough for you (but terribly annoying for your neighbours) go and buy a hearing aid.

in how many years will our entire universe, as we know it, cease to exist?

God knows but he hasn't told me. Maybe you can ask those people who seem to have conversations with God all the time. You know them.... they are always claiming that God said this and God said that, usually about playing with your naughty bits.

(arryoudini                            how long would it take me to get there by car   )

How many stops do you plan for coffee, toilet and petrol?

Does your car do OK going uphill?

You do realise that the direct route is a very long curve?

Count on taking your own sandwiches and a flask.

Not if you are a father, in Australia. Julia Gillard is pushing through legislation to prevent fathers from even opening their mouths, before she and her Feminist arse gets thrown out of the Lodge.

I SAVE MONEY FOR MY TWO SMALL CHILDREN MORE THEN £16000 AND THE SAME TIME RECIVE INCOME SUPPORT, HOUSING BENEFIT AND COUNCIL TAX. JOB CENTRE FIND OUT MY SAVINGS. WHAT THEY CAN DO TO ME?
Answers: 1 Views: 907 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago

First, it is a fine thing that you save money for your children.

Second, however, it is MY money you are 'saving'. It is ME that pays taxes so that Centrelink can give it out to supoort people who are either retired (having whacked masses of their pay in taxes into the coffers in the first place) or to people who are going through some difficulties not of their own making, allowing some small respite while they are getting their act together.

$16,000 is a heck of a lot to have saved. That says there must be quite a bit more given to you than you need over a length of time long enough for you to have changed your situation

Centrelink will not penalise you for having money in the bank. You can have quite a bit more than 16 grand, but they will count the interest recieved as income. You will be able to count that income into the $75 a week that you can earn without it affecting your benefits.

A far better questions would have been - "How do I get off my arse and become an independant adult and a sound model for my children, instead of sponging off hard-working people who pay taxes and cannot afford to save $16000 for their own children?

I'm 66 years old. Do I take my Gross Income of approx 31000 less persomal allowance of £9490 = £21510 as my income for tax purposes. If that is the case I wouldn't lose any of my allowance, is that correct?
Answers: 1 Views: 181 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago

At 66 you are entitled to tell all the youngsters in the Tax Office to shove their forms up where the sun don't shine.

You have very little as it is. To pursue you through the courts to recover any pennies of tax that you haven't paid would make them a laughing stock.

Just stop sending the Tax Return in. Ignore them. Forget about Tax.  Get on with the remaining years in the knowledge that you have done your part, paying taxes all your life, while half the darn population has been taking your money via welfare cheques and spending it. Stick two fingers up.

If pressed, send them a short letter saying, "Rearrange the following to make a well known phrase or saying - "Off Sod"  ".
