Why is everybody so obsessed with aliens right now?
Answers: 9 Views: 1327 Rating: 5 Posted: 12 years ago

It's human nature to want to explore our planet and beyond. There have been several alien shows on history channel and H2, Ancient Aliens is a very interesting show... Public awareness is growing as well as the technology to instantly record or take pictures of whatever we desire.

I have to agree with eggie on this subject, I may even be an alien hybrid?    lol. Just an interesting subject to us who enjoy the unexplained. I have a question on UFO's that was around a few months ago. I also have one or two on "Bigfoot." Maybe we should change the subject to BIGFOOT?

why must learn physics?
Answers: 11 Views: 674 Rating: 2 Posted: 12 years ago

I pulled this answer from a website, but thought it was a better answer than I could give you personally, hope you like it?

Simple question, simple answer: because studying physics helps you understand how the universe works. The laws of physics, when you really look at them, are absolutely amazing. The more you learn about physics, the more you come to see how seemingly unrelated phenomena in the universe can have remarkably similar explanations.

Learning the laws of physics gives you an appreciation for some incredibly cool everyday phenomena that you might (probably) otherwise take for granted. In addition, you also learn about phenomena that you don't see everyday, but address some very fundamental questions: What is the nature of time and distance? How did the universe begin, and what is its ultimate fate? What really is matter and energy? What are the limits of what we truly can know about the universe? Would the earth fall out of its orbit if everyone in Asia jumped at precisely the same time?

The skills that you learn studying physics are also very useful in the job market (see discussion below). Whether you go on to grad school (in physics, medicine, law, business, etc.) or find a regular job when you graduate, you will benefit from the problem-solving skills, laboratory techniques, writing and speaking skills, and appreciation of the physics of modern technology learned in a standard physics curriculum. And, of course, since the laws of physics describe the real world, an understanding of these laws is important for understanding (and manipulating) many (actually, most) real things.

The bottom line: if you enjoy learning about how the universe works, you should consider a physics major or minor.

I hate my life
Answers: 14 Views: 898 Rating: 5 Posted: 12 years ago

You have to change your metal thought pattern to a positive one, instead of this negative one you are having now. Brain cells follow a certain path that leads to our thought patterns becoming permanent. So if you keep thinking negatively it will become the usual way of thinking for you. Change your thoughts to what you are thankful for and tell yourself some encouraging things.

Write some positive goals and put them on your bathroom mirror. Read them every morning and in a short while your thoughts will become more positive and your life will change for the better, so will your outlook.

Dumb question..
Answers: 15 Views: 1895 Rating: 7 Posted: 12 years ago

Do you know his medical history, does he have chronic pain or some sort of back injury? Many people with drug addictions have them because they have been is some sort of serious pain or have a medical condition that requires heavy pain medication. Some just get addicted...........

Why don't you take a friend over there where you feel safe and go and talk to the guy and find out what his medical problems may be, or if he truly has one? Why not first go about it trying to see if you can help the guy out? Bake him some cookies, go over with a friend and tell him you've noticed the ambulances quite often, can you do something to help. Bring over some leftovers? Hope this helps? It's a different perspective, not trying to be critical, just trying to give you a different approach to maybe find out the truth or details of what's really going on....

what shall i do to become a great musician??
Answers: 7 Views: 650 Rating: 3 Posted: 12 years ago

I was the bass guitar player in a really good local band in high school. My guitar player stayed in the business and went from band to band eventually getting signed with a major label when he was in his thirties. I quit way before then. He worked very hard and stayed on the path towards his dream. He actually eventually made it, but then the band broke up.

So do your best and stick to it if you really want it bad enough, you just might make it. But go to college and get your degree so if it doesn't work out you won't have to work at McDonalds for th rest of you life,. Who knows by the time you reach your goals in life you may have new ones and take your life in a completely different direction...??? Good luck.

$6 a gallon of gas soon! The POTUS B Obama response is: not me, not me, not me! Who and what is responsible then?
Answers: 13 Views: 992 Rating: 6 Posted: 12 years ago

Great answer Ann, the problem with the little people getting an investigation is that big business has big and important friends that don't seem to give a poop about the little guy. Unless there are riots in the street, usually nothing ever get done on the behalf of the people.

I seem to remember Obama saying he hoped gas prices went high, that way people would start investing into cleaner, green energy. I think it's part of his agenda.

What can be done to aid a suffering sciatic nerve beside these wussy pain pills the dr gave me?
Answers: 6 Views: 662 Rating: 5 Posted: 12 years ago

I've had it so bad sometimes that I had to stop and squat every twelve steps or so. Stretching like for your hamstrings as well as laying on your back and bringing your knees up to your chest for a few about 20 seconds and repeat it with one leg at a time. This stretch helps the space in your L-5 S-1 where the nerve is open up a little. Usually it takes time for this agonizing pain to go away.

Massage or a heating pad as well as seeing a (good Chiropractor).

Does anyone have any ideas as to where the former teamster boss Jimmy Hoffa might have been buried?

Probably swimming with the fishes or fishlets. They gave him a nice pair of  cement boots and introduced him to the intracoastal.

What would your diary entry for today be?
Answers: 30 Views: 2350 Rating: 14 Posted: 12 years ago

Today I took my friend to the VA Hospital, he's very sick with prostate and bone cancer. He wasn't able to eat much for the past few days and was vomiting what he tried to eat or drink. The horrible thing about today for him was he couldn't get his biopsy done because they wanted to treat his back because it's causing him such horrible pain. Thus his cancer treatment will have to wait maybe another week while he gets sicker by the day.

He waited at the va emergency room today for over 9 hours, while they took in people who weren't nearly as sick as he was. Finally he told them he couldn't wait any longer because he was in to much pain from sitting in the wheel chair all day, so he called me to come pick him up.

What a shame that veteran's have to go through such a messed up hospital system, I wonder how much better or worse Obama care will be? I will keep looking after my friend and praying for him. It make me thankful to God that I am alive and generally healthy, compared to some people at least. Sometimes I'm just thankful that I can walk with the terrible back problems I have. Anyhow sometimes when we see what other people are going through, it make us realize we don't really have it that bad.
