Personally speaking, crossbows are a fairly amazing piece of equipment. If you can't find it directly, you might want to check with a website like Crossbow Nation. There's a bunch of guys on that site that fairly much could tell you about most anything concerning crossbows.

Depending on how hard it they are rubbing, it will either wear until there is no longer any friction, or it will smoke and catch fire. Whatever the outcome that kind of heat is not good for the seals around the bearings or plastic air hoses.
