How do I get my books from my computer to my Kobo REader
Answers: 1 Views: 521 Rating: 0 Posted: 11 years ago

Well, if it works like my nook you go to the folder that has your books and there will be icons for each book. Plug your e-reader into your computer and then on the left of your folder it will say Kobo reader. You click on the books icon and drag it onto the words kobo reader and it will send the book to your kobo. You then do this for each book. This is how my nook works and they all probably work the same.

Oh, and one other thing I learned is that you while you can download books free from a public library, you have to remember that they are formated idifferently and the library books will take up more space than books you purchase online. So, you have to make sure that you remove them properly when they are due back. I'm still having problems with this and I intend to ask the expert at Barnes and Noble about it. When I get an answer I'll let you know. By the way, I was really surprised by how much space the library books took up.

Do you think gay Boy Scouts and straight Boy Scouts should be in the same troop?
Answers: 18 Views: 1204 Rating: 2 Posted: 11 years ago

Yes, I do think that gays should be allowed in the boy scouts. I can't see what harm it would do. Its the pedaphiles they need to worry about.

Does anyone read the Mitch Rapp series of books by Vince Flynn?
Answers: 2 Views: 761 Rating: 0 Posted: 11 years ago

Yes, I've read them all. It's really strange because I don't believe that anyone could get away with the things that he does, but when you get to the parts of the book where the CIA has become desperate and litterally says "turn Mitch loose" you are so wound up that you're thinking, kill em Mitch, kill em all, like some sort of savage. However, they are a really fun escapist read.

Is existentialism still considered a legitimate philosophy?

Why wouldn't it be? Different philsophies don't fall off of some list because they lose adherents or you wouldn't study some of the ancients.

Do you think that babies are the most innocent and angelic in the world ?
Answers: 6 Views: 714 Rating: 2 Posted: 11 years ago

Babies are innocent because there is nothing else they can be. People confuse innocence in the case of babies with a form of  morality which is later stained by life. Innocence in babies is innocence through ignorence. They are like a clean slate and innocence is a characteristic  that starts to fade slowly at first and more rapidly as time progresses. Angels, un no, but we love them because they are cute and ours and that makes it okay.

What do you love in your life?
Answers: 10 Views: 906 Rating: 2 Posted: 11 years ago

My wife beyond anything else. I love reading with a passion that defies the understanding of most people. I love the game of chess and lose most of the time. I love an intellectual challenge which is why I enjoy reading philsophy , simply because its always just beyond my reach. I love politics and follow it avidly. I love studing religion, but don't believe any of it for a minute. However, I support the people that do and I really enjoy debating this topic, but its difficult to find people that don't get upset during the discussion. I love my family and friends because they tolerate me with all my faults and they are legion.

What do you think of Obama holding the Rev. Martin Luther King personal bible for his inaguration? Is he "using" MLK?
Answers: 11 Views: 1470 Rating: 5 Posted: 11 years ago

Yes, he's a christian and has been for 20 years. That seems to be something that is hard for people to accept. There is absolutely no evidence that he is a muslim. As for the bible its symbolic and thats something that all politicians do. I don't have a problem with him on this issue because you wont be able to find a politician today that isn't making some sort of gesture in celebration of King. It seems to me to be rediculous to turn this into an emotional issue because you don't like the man. I didn't vote for him, but I'm also not going to have an emotional reaction about it either.

Was Joseph Smith a true Prophit
Answers: 6 Views: 733 Rating: 0 Posted: 11 years ago

I don't believe in prophits, so no I don't think he was. I think that people who are considered prophits simply possess three characteristics to a greater degree than most people. They are very intuitive, intelligent, and persuasive.
