desirae - how yeah I agree - I just love vanilla anything - delicious and also the smell in candles etc. Need to sell your home - vanilla essence int the oven - oh boy gives a great smell to your home.
Wid - septic shock is not something pertaining to hospitals alone - it has many many contributing factors. The pathogeneis of septic shock is not completely understood. The word "septic" here can be totally misleading.

chelleanne - yes it is so extremely diffficult when you do no know why a loved one dies - especially so young - it is always a painful experience and more so when there seems to be no established reason. I recently watched a number of autopsies - and these can be quite often inconclusive but I found it strange when things were discovered which could have been diagnosed via a simple blood test. The dying of a loved one can be enchanced by not knowing why but the pain can been equally painful for those who do know why - a question which is often asked anyway by those who know. I am so sorry for your loss.
Night Walker - Yes it depends what contributes to this feeling. If you are a sensitive person - you will feel lost - most of the people in this world feel found - and what are the reasons for this - my feelings are power and greed. You are probably not so out of step with this world and wondering where do I fit in - do not feel lost it is probably the way to feel for the right reasons.
Oh Yes - just so bad. Interesting - some time ago in the States people were put on diets which they followed but there was not much loss of weight going on and it was found the reason was the amount of fizzy drinks consumed - so full of sugar - I have always noticed my roly poly friends consuming vast amounts of fizzy drinks - also maybe because they have more body to hydrate - better to use other fluids. Of course they are not good for you for other reasons - must read C/B's thread when I get off this so cheap tablet - dare not open my laptop at present e-mail not working - all does my brain in. Oh yeah missed the word "diet" - should always read the question - but I feel sure they are not good for you in any case.
katbrd - there many tests for pancreatic discorders - blood test for enzymes, diabetes, endocrine and exocrine to test pancreatic function. Ultrasounds or CT scans (nowadays probably MRI scans) for the presence of calcification, indicating the presence of intraductal stones - test for pancreatic secretions etc. What's with the cancer bit? This however would show up on magnetic resonance imaging MRI scan or endoscopy - there are many tumours which affect the pancreas - but prior to looking for these the above would be carried out i.e. some of the simple tests which would perhaps lead to looking for a possible maglinancy. I am sure C/B thread will explain this better. I will read this.
