I've always heard that it means you are about to meet someone new, as in, shaking hands at an introduction.

I know it to be the same as dad59 answered.And a itchy nose means a fight,and a itchy ear means some one is talking about you.

I always heard it, Righthand itch's your going to spend money, Lefthand itch's your going to recieve money.

i heard it meant money is coming to you. but since i've been grown and studied more, i heard it's a sign of vitamin or mineral deficiency and/or body out of balance.  thus, get yourself checked out so disease does not come about like diabetics.

I always thought it was right hand itchy you will be giving - left hand itchy you will be receiving.
