Define economies of scale
Answers: 1 Views: 281 Rating: 1 Posted: 12 years ago
Economies of scale is actually very simple - it explains how the costs of various things change dramatically as the volume of them rises. The general example is how the more of a product a factory makes, the less it costs to produce. As output rises, the cost of the machines to build something gets paid off, as well as other overhead expenses, and the cost of production goes lower and lower. So, the more (the SCALE) you make or there is of something, the lower the cost (the economies).

how do u sepert the gold from other things in a cladic converter
Answers: 1 Views: 285 Rating: 1 Posted: 12 years ago
I assume you mean "separate" and "catalytic." And the answer is you can not - without very specialized equipment and a lot of money, specialized equipment, and truckloads of old catalytic converters. It is true there is gold and other precious metals in catalytic converters (also platinum and rhodium/paladium), but the amount is very small and is incorporated into the honeycome structure inside. You need very expensive and specialized equipment to get the metals out, separate, and purify them. This is very expensive, and then it takes thousands and thousands of converters to even approach breaking even. The actual process is way to long and complicated to describe here.

Uh, you contact your insurance company and they can print, fax, or email it to you. You can probably even print it yourself from their website. This is really a question?

Turn up the volume (top of the screen, toward the right hand side), or your speakers are missing or not plugged in (many Macs have external speakers).

direction of ceiling fan for hot weather?
Answers: 1 Views: 242 Rating: 1 Posted: 12 years ago
Even though it seems counter-intuitive, the fan should blow downward in the summer, upward in the winter. Why would you blow the hot air above down in the summer? The fan companies say it is for circulation, and don't explain why it seems backward. However, they are in the fan business, so they should know if anyone...

Belt tension is automatically taken care of by the "belt tensioner." Therefore, no need to check or adjust. It is spring loaded and adjusts itself.

what age is PG to watch film
Answers: 1 Views: 469 Rating: 1 Posted: 12 years ago
It is up to the wisdom of the parents (who hopefully control or are concerned about what their kids see, and know if something would be bad for them), which is why PG stands for "Parental Guidance."
