I am going through a non specific fever Virus. could this be a connection with SS?
Answers: 2 Views: 258 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago

I think you're talking about sickle-cell anemia when you refer to "SS".  It's actually a hereditary disease in which your red blood cells are sickle-shaped, rather than oval, and this causes a lot of circulation problems.  It occurs most often in blacks, because in regions like Africa where malaria ( a disease of the blood carried by mosquitos) was prevalent, the genetic defect of sickle-shaped blood cells was a survival adavantage (the malaria bug was unable to penetrate sickle-shaped cells).  However, in Western societies this genetic defect is a hindrance to circulation, and it shortens life span to 42 years for males and 48 years for females.  Any type of infection as SS patient gets (such as your virus) could lead to what's called a "sickle-cell crisis", which can last 5-7 days and includes pain, anemia, and fatigue.

Why does moss grow on some trees in the South?
Answers: 1 Views: 395 Rating: 1 Posted: 12 years ago

This is Spanish moss (alos called the "air plant"), and it likes heat and high humidity.  Although it can absorb calcium and rainfall from the air, it has a preference for Southern live oak  and Bald Cypress tress.  This is because their leaves leach out high amounts of minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorous, which provide Spanish moss with an abundant supply of nutrients.

why does aklseler make water bubble
Answers: 1 Views: 249 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago

The sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) reacts with the citric acid to form sodium citrate and carbon dioxide gas. (The carbon dioxide is the bubbles.)  There's alo aspirin in Alka-Seltzer, but it doesn't contribute to the effervescence.

my dishwasher smells awful, any suggestions?
Answers: 3 Views: 610 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago

Inside mine, on the bottom near the back, there's a grate where food particles accumulate.  If yours is like this, remove that food.  If not, it sounds like there's somewhere that old food is being retained.  Unless you can take it apart yourself, you may have to get a repairman.

will the sunflower grow back if cut for florel arrangement
Answers: 1 Views: 308 Rating: 1 Posted: 12 years ago

No; sunflowers are annuals, so once their blooms are cut off, that's the end of them.  But th up-side of this is that they're easy to grow, and grow very fast.
