"MRSA" stands for "methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus". This means it's a type of staph that's become resistant to the typical antibiotics that are used. A staph infection like this can arise out of just a tiny scratch in the skin, and it tends to look like an insect bite. When our micro lab sees "spider bite" for the diagnosis of a person who's culture we're looking at, we immediately suspect it's MRSA. It's become very common, and it can be hospital-acquired or community-acquired. Most hospitals now screen patients for MRSA by doing a nasal swab to see if they are carriers of MRSA, and if they are, then they're put in isolation to keep it from spreading to other patients. MRSA is treated with vancomycin or trimethoprim sulfate. It's not hard to get rid of, but it can be life-threatening if it infects someone who's immuno-compromised.

I just saw on TV where a couple is expecting their 20th child! Why would you want 20 kids?

Probably for the same reason my husband and I have 9 cats; we love cats, and they love kids. I say all the more power to a couple who's got that many kids and is doing such a good job of raising them.

Are you talking about diabetes Type 2? If so, this is adult-onset diabetes, and is far from a death sentence. Depending on how severe it is, you may need to start out on insulin shots or pills. But properly managed, you'll be able to avoid complications like heart disease, neuropathy (nerve pain), glaucoma, and non-healing wounds. I know this is going to sound crazy, but Type 2 diabetes can actually be REVERSED with proper diet and excercise. You'll probably have a hard time finding a doctor who will admit this, because doctors count on patients allowing their illnesses to exacerbate themselves. Otherwise, doctors would be out of business! All you need to do is follow a meal plan that's high in fiber and low in fat (choose nutritious foods that you LIKE so it can be a permanent lifestyle and not a temporary "diet"), and find an excercise that you enjoy enough to do at least 4 times a week (mine is weightlifting). These changes will allow your body to overcome the insulin-resistance it's acquired, and the insulin normally produced by your pancreas will stabilize your blood sugar. Soon you'll find yourself feeling great, and your body will be healing itself, with no medications or doctor-intervention required. Good luck!

The tylenol I am talking about has codeine and caffein

What are you taking it for? You need to get to the root of the problem. I had foot surgery 4 months ago (which involved having bone cut away), and was prescribed Vicadin, but I never even needed 1 pill. A lot of peoples' pain is in their mind, and doctors are way over-prescribing painkillers. Try aspirin; it's a painkiller and anti-inflammatory all in one, and doesn't have any side effects. Remember that any medication you take has to go through your liver, and it can be damaged by these toxic substances. I know of someone who destroyed her liver by taking Tylenol, and ended up dying of liver failure. You can gradually wean yourself off these prescribed Tylenols; just figure out how many per day you're taking, and try to take less each subsequent day until you're off of them. Good luck!

Sad commentary that Obama's way of "keeping the country from going all the way under" was to bail out the car makers and banks. All of those billions, plus the billions for mortgage modifications were grabbed up by the fat cats. But that's the Democrats for you. Tax and spend, that'll solve all our problems. And the housing crisis had nothing to do with "deregulation"; that was the Securities and Exchange Commission pruprosely looking the other way when Wall Street was pulling their shenaningans. That had been going on for YEARS before the housing crash. Do some research! And as for the war in Iraq, do you think it's any coincidence that Obama's waiting until just a year before the next election to pull out our troops? I think not. If a "pinched mind" means being able to see a scam artist from a mile away, well then EXCUUUUZZZE me, and my husband, my neighbors, and everybody else I associate with.

You need to go through the courts to get legal custody, but since you have the mother's compliance, this will be a much easier process than if she was working against you. Good luck to you!

do you have to remove tulip bulbs in the fall

No, but the problem with leaving them in the ground is that squirrels like to eat them. You can prevent this by covering the area the bulbs are in with wire mesh and a layer of mulch. Also, when your tulips are done blooming, don't cut off the stalks, because they're manufacturing food that will be stored in the bulbs and used for the next year's blooms.

Because when you first start working out, it stresses your body and causes temporary water weight gain. Don't get discouraged; it will go away in time.

Try giving him one of his usual feedings near the water; animals associate food with comfort and security. Have you had him since he was a pup? Because it sounds like he may have had a traumatic experience with water.

Yes, you can use hydrogen peroxide; this would be very effective. Just be sure to rinse it off your vegetables throughly, because ingestion of hydrogen peroxide is toxic.

I had the flu and with it bronchitis so I ask ...

The flu is caused by a virus (which doesn't respond to antibiotics), and bronchitis is caused by bacteria. It could be that the first time aroound, your infection was strictly viral and she put you on antibiotics (which was the wrong thing to do!) The antibiotics could have wiped out most of your normal lung flora and allowed a pathogen like strep pneumo to grow, thereby putting you in the hospital. Before you go on antibiotics, the doctor should be doing a rapid test for influenza (the virus that causes the flu), and if it's negative, a sputum culture should be done to test for bacterial pathogens that could be eliminated with antibiotics.
Also, you need to find out WHY you're having recurrent respiratory problems; these are usually due to a compromise in the immune system or damage to the lungs from asthma or smoking. Try to eliminate unnecessary stresses on your lungs, and see if you don't feel a lot better.

You should send Sentry Armored Dispatch $20 because they asked you to; it's their handling fee so they can confirm that you got their letter and now they send you the $898,899. You don't think they'd want the wrong person to get all that money, do you?

I am needing to know, how do I tell the difference between a Raven and Crow. =o)

The raven is more the size of a hawk, while a crow is closer to the size of a pegeon. Also, the raven is blacker, and its tail feathers are pointed into a triangle, whereas the tail feathers of a crow are curved like a seashell. Ravens live a lot longer, with individuals at the Tower of London living for as long as 40 years (normally in the WILD, they'll live for 10-15 years); crows live for about 8 years. Ravens tend to favor wild, uninhabited areas, whereas crows are attracted to hunans and buildings in the city.

Will tom cat harm or eat baby kittens ,

I've heard that out in the wild, a tomcat WILL eat another cat's babies; this is part of his instinct to propagate his own genes.
One time my next-door neighbors raised a litter that had been brought to their house by a tomcat; they were probably his own, and something had happened to the mother. I thought is was adorable for him to do that. I wouldn't worry about domesticated tom, because he's not going to be territorial, and I especially wouldn't worry if they're his own babies.
