Sure, there is all kinds of extra money laying around now that we've paid off the national debt!  Let's just write him a check from the reserves we stockpiled since he became president. NOT!

I got to thinking.   Can a performance bonus be in the negative?   There are elections every two years. why not just add a vote to whether or not a bonus should be paid to the president, senators, representatives.....all those folks.  The choices could be some format like this:

NO, penalize salary for one year
NO, penalize  salary and deny all benefits and perks for one year
NO, penalize salary and deny all benefits and perks for two years
NO, remove from office, deny all retirement benefits and perks forever
NO, see previous option,  deport to isolated island inhabited by giant man-eating mosquitos

I've not included any "YES" options for obvious reasons.
