I've stopped using Firefox and have switched to Google Chrome. My problems started when I upgraded FF to version "4" and now it takes 50 to 60 seconds to load. I've tried a complete uninstall and then reloading an older version with no success.
Chrome loads in less than a second.

Thanks for the answer. I just did a 4hour update and brought linux up to 10.0 Then the trouble began screen dims get crash reports on firefox .Get messages saying firefox not responding,so I was wondering if one version of firefox is having trouble??? The last year firefox has been fine now its slower than hell for some reason. I would agree with you I have liked it so far now Not so much !
