                                    I can't answer, for fear of crossing the PC lines...  It is so ridiculous that we have to redefine all that we have known/learner all of our life, and it is easy therefore to either not get the memo on the latest PC phrase to use... It is easier not to even comment.

                                        We don't have genders (that's a grammatical term as in masculine and femininea). We are sexes: male and female Referring to sexes as genders is one more example of how we've cheapen the language and made it less precise.
                                        Another example is the us of "revenue enhancement" for tan increase amd
                                        "investment" for large expenditures of taxpayers' money.
                                        In In Orwell's dystopian novel "1984" and "Animal Farm," the first thing the all-powerful State did was tailor everyday language so it meant what the State wanted it to mean. It is happening now at an accecelerating pace.

                                        John, God creates Soul, we do not. Humankind through conception creates the body that Soul enters into. Yes, Soul uses the body to exist in the physical world. Soul is neither male nor female, the body is male or female. (had you used the comment this answer link attached to my answer, I would have received an alert that you answered me and would have answered you sooner.)

                                        Rick, Are you related to Umbriel? You've included a lot of useless information for this question. We do not stand on literary grammar here.
