    "What the heck?"

My new little frustration... I have been buying the same brand of garbage bags for the past four years and now.... like a hole in the head... the quality has decreased.  This is very bad in garbage bag land.

What is your frustration this week?

going to the Grocery store , seems like every time i buy something, the prices go up and the quanity goes down, extremely frustrarting....Then they try to fool you with the packageing..

    bluesman1951

Did you mean quality? I will pay one price for a item if its above that I walk away and try something new .Milk goes over 2.50 a gallon it stays on the shelf . Soda over .99 stays on the shelf period . Most of the time new is never better its a adjustment because something is not working . No one changes something thats working .Learn to say no and not surrender and complain when justified .The customer is the boss and its that simple . Shelf space is too expensive to waste and products that do not move can not stay just say no .

    quality as well as quanity..
    FISH-O

I hear you. I became so fed up with the large grocery store chains that I began to buy locally again. I am much happier with the quality and we are eating much healthier as a result.

Same as every week, stupid questions that are easily answered on the internet that the people asking are using.  There is too such a thing as a stupid question. Sorry to all the nicey nice people out there who feel the need to give stupidity an excuse. ;)

    dowsa

my wife does not need a excuse about "stupidity she has "Me!
    bluesman1951

What is the difference between stupid and not knowing ?I am frustrated with the questions from time to time as well .Mostly because they show no common sense ,and are poorly presented . Bill

What's my mothers maiden name could count as a stupid question.
    FISH-O

"What's my Mother's maiden name?" counts as a stupid question.
    figtree3

That all depends on whether your mother had a father or not.

Crazy neighbors that keep coming by and leaving love notes for my housemate......

    bluesman1951

Are you jealous ? Need a few notes of your own ?
    jhharlan

Not jealous, just protective. She's left me notes before. She is just nuts, leaves sodas and stuff like that. She's here now and complaining about doing jail time. I shouldn't have let her in.....
    FISH-O

Jail time? Shoo her away... !
    jhharlan

Yep, she was in jail for hitting her mom. (attack on the elderly)She doesn't remember it or that she rang out doorbell at 3 a.m. nightly...She's just nuts and thinks she's in love with James. Poor him but he's going to talk to her tomorrow....
    FISH-O

James has a stalker. Not good. :(
    jhharlan

No kidding but I'm sure his male ego is getting a kick out of this.....
    FISH-O

    Ha Ha!

Trying to change someone's mind after they have made a decision, even if you can prove them wrong.

    FISH-O

It is as if they shut their ears. That happened to me yesterday. When evening arrived I heard a very quiet, "Oh yeah!"

    "Lightbulb!"
    Headless Man

    True......
    Bob/PKB

May depend on how you go about trying to change someone's mind. When I want someone to rethink a decision, I NOW know better than to just tell him/her, "You're wrong and I can prove it". I'm not saying you do, by the way. What works well for me is to say I'm playing "devil's advocate" or "here's a perspective you might want to consider", or "have you thought about....". There's no surer way to turn someone into not just a fool, but a stubborn one, than telling him he's wrong! :D
    Headless Man

Your right Bob, used that system for years, you get then thinking they come up with the idea they were wrong.

I was trying to put a border of ? on my congratulatory greeting to Yvonne

on her  reaching  the ripe old  age  o f  54. I  tried and tried and with each

effort I ended up with a load of garbage. But to make matters worse I hit a

wrong key and  then to my horror  there  suddenly  appeared  three  cats

(3 answer boxes) and they were already on their way to Colleen. Needless

to say, I was able to delete one box and of the other two I deleted the text.

As a matter of courtesy to Yvonne I left four ? for her.

That's funny. The kind of thing that happens to me! :-D

Another failure! For each ? try to imagine a ❤.
    FISH-O

I love the little hearts. I really wish I had that option. Too cute even when it doesn't work out according to plan.
Sometimes my key board decides to be Spanish. That would be lovely if I were fluent. Cha Cha Cha!

I'm afraid I'm too old and cranky to pay good money for anything I consider falsely advertised, misleading or substandard, I return things these days, I bought some prawns last week from Woolworths, they were overcooked and tough (I know not their fault) but took them back, they couldn't have been nicer and were happy to refund the money, Ive done the same with meat, I took some steak back to the local butcher...I had already cooked it,but asked him to try it and see if he could get his teeth through it, he apologized and replaced it, I also complained about the state of some public toilets that are always filthy, can't believe this one, we actually have an ombudsman for toilets!! anyway I am now happy to have been supplied a master key so I can use staff loo's, wherever I go. P.S Happy birthday Yvonne, 54 is a great age, I am too.

    FISH-O

You are funny! I love it. Your own key! That is awesome.
I have never heard of anyone taking a cooked piece of meat back to the butcher. That's just too good! :)

Frustration of the week?  Probably the fact that the world doesn't revolve around me.  I don't get to have everything the way I want it, or direct people's behavior the way I'd like. It's frustrating because I often think that I have good ideas.   Often, not always.  Well, sometimes.

    FISH-O

Surround your self with "yes" people... I am looking for some myself!
I think the world should revolve around me as well :D ... just joking... it's all about the boy!
It's a good thing he is so cute.
    Bob/PKB

The joy has no equal (nor the heartache, which I hope you all never experience). :D
    winfia

According to your bio, you are little more than a year old, and the world DOES revolve around you!!
    Bob/PKB

LMAO. Guess I should change that.... Boy, those were the good ol' days.

Fish Girl back to the lousy trash bags, I have started buying my trash bags at Lowe's they are the big garbage bags - contractor's garbage bags 3 ML - they are very thick and I have rarely had one bust on me unless I pushed too much and something sharp came through the bag but I figure price wise they are not much more than the one's at Wal-Mart and they work a heck of a lot better.

    FISH-O

Thanks Darci... oddly enough that didn't cross my mind and with all this construction going on in my house, I have those bags.

Piled all of my husband's unused brochures in the back of the truck and drove to two recycle places only to learn that NO ONE in this town recycles paper!! We are currently in Lake Havasu City, AZ (population 56,000). My own little village of 3,000 people not only recycles everything, but picks it up once a week. Shame on LHC ... and what am I gonna do with all these frickin brochures??

    FISH-O

Crafts... Teabag folding cards for Special Occasions... You will be a hit!
    winfia

    Oh yeah, that's gonna happen. I have not sent xmas cards in 6 years and I have not sent thank-you cards for my last two decade birthdays ... I send birthday greetings by email or carrier pigeon, and I'm still using gift tags out of the pack I bought in 1986 ... {{sigh}}
