    why does my tummy seem to be more round now than when I started working out three weeks ago

    Because when you first start working out, it stresses your body and causes temporary water weight gain. Don't get discouraged; it will go away in time.
    You might ask a trainer to watch you do your exercises ~ maybe there's a better way to work your stomach muscle. (wild guess)`
    This is very common yes there is water weight.. You may also be building muscle fater than you are lossing fat... KEEP IT UP.. you are going to see results in about 8 weeks. And you are going to love what you see... GOOD LUCK>
