No, I was just making a joke, I wouldn't make it as a comedian I suppose. I don't really know much about twitter or face book. This is the only website I regularly visit. Lol,

twit has nothing to do with a mentally deficient person. It's simply a way to make fun of someone who another may deem as not intelligent.

Also, I have been told that, somewhere in old England, a pregnant goldfish was referred to as a twit. OK, goldfish don't generally get pregnant, you say. They are egg layers. That brings us to what Bulletman alluded to above: another name for a goldfish in the family way was a twat.

Have you tried a dictionary? I've check different ones. Nothing about fish or twats in any of them.
The dictionary does not relate fish to twit. It's just a word used in the other parts of the world I lived in, referring twit as a pregnant fish. Today I think the word twit is used more as a slang derogatorily than anything else. You could google it by typing "twit pregnant goldfish". There's perhaps no truth to it but a heck a lot of discussion about goldfish/twit.
