I think a lot of people look back and think,"I should have done this or that," but the truth is it's better to live in the present than the past. I have thought this way with some of the decisions that I've made in life and had to train my self to not regret the past, but to learn from it.
I know we can't help thinking this way sometimes especially when dealing with the loss of a friend or loved one, but the best way to fix it is to learn from the experience and do better in the future. Good question thumbs up.

I have always given my family all my love and support each and every day of their lives. I have given as much as I could and then some. As each family member passed, I went to them at the funeral home and gave them my thanks for everything they did for me and also said that I hoped I had in turn given them what they needed in return. I have no regrets. My entire family is resting in the cemetery in my hometown. I am waiting for the day I will be with them again.

i grew up in wisconsin and moved to florida when in my 30's. when my mother became elderly and needed someone to look out for her i was not there. when she was on her death bed, i held her hand and prayed the rosary aloud, after which she clung to my hand and i disengaged because i was tired. now i feel so terrible because i was not there for her in life and even on her deathbed i couldn't stay and comfort her in her most pressing hour of need.
