I ate there once in a while. A friend of mine knew the owner. Their "Log" was on hoagey/submarine sandwich bread with several small, oval hamburger patties and shredded lettuce. It was a pretty good burger. The location may have technically been Covina. They had crushed ice in their soft drinks which I liked but not your standard soft drink ice then. Most everyone used the little flattened cubes. I seem to recall the dining area was enclosed but it seemed like an enclosed patio. Just down the street from Steak Corral and just one exit and the opposite side of I-10 from Starks restaurant.

Oh. The sign featured a thunderbird (the mythical one).

You can try wiki-pedia or just googling Thunder Burger in West Covina for any and all sites concerning it.

I worked there from about 1960 to 1963.
