Painting is a never ending job, no matter how big the room. The bigger the longer it takes.

In the end, if you do it right and take your time - it looks beautiful. I just finished painting my parents house to get it ready to sell. It took 3 1/2 months. Primer, primer, paint, paint and in some cases another coat of paint. I had to paint even the beautiful (once upon a time) woodwork that the tenants destroyed. I scraped paint off the ceiling and paint off the floor (that's what happens when then painted while they were drunk).

Now I have to start all over again in my house when I get it ready to sell. Ugh!

How did the walls and ceiling get drunk 6dogs.?
Small area are just has hard to paint, like larger room still has 4 corner but more space to get around,no way of getting around, lest you hire someone.
My tip, hire someone. That's what I do. I detest painting. Since this was posted 3 hours ago, I'm figuring you've finished already. Sorry you got no tips. I guess everyone here hates painting too.
Yes, Colleen does have a great point. I used to paint professionally when I was just out of high school and you really have to learn how to paint straight lines, that's the toughest part.

Rolling is pretty easy if you can get an even coat. When you roll you have to make sure not to press to hard and get plenty of paint on the roller. Home Depot sometimes has free classes on how to do this sort of thing, it's best to see the right way to do it from someone with experience. Good luck.

using a wide roller will make it go much quicker as opposed to a brush, cut in all the coners and edges first from the top down.
i'm with Colleen and facebook, hire out! good luck!
Make sure you use an anti fungal emulsion on the ceiling. It saves a lot of work later.
