    Remove the toilet tank lid by lifting it upward. Set it aside.
    * 2

    Locate the knurled knob mounted on the side of the fill valve.
    * 3

    Turn the knob one way to increase the water level and the opposite way to decrease the water level.
    * 4

    Set the water level to match the waterline marked on the front of the flush valve. Verify that water has stopped flowing into the tank, and that the water is at the waterline.
    * 5

    Replace the tank lid.
