We had a foursome of golf playing from 2 carts on a day when the course was not particularily crowded. On about the sixth hole we saw a foursome gaining on us and they were in four separate carts.

It was somewhat intimidating to look back and see four carts traversing the fairways gaing and then waiting on our shots.
My question is; Is it proper etiquette for the course to allow this? They were rented carts same as ours. We were playing at a very good pace and we were not about to break our rhythm by letting them play through. Were we proper in our thinking?

if it makes you feel uncomfortable, then its not worth it, I'd let 'em play through too.
The course probably didn't know they took separate carts, but you should always let the faster players through.
