Your ans is almost correct,except for the last sentence were you say "go to heaven when you die" you only go to heaven after the resurrection,otherwise there be no purpose for judgment day.

To Leeroy---Are you saying that tongue in cheek ? The very defintion of eternity, is that there is no end. And why would you want it to end, if you were having fun, had all the love you could handle, had no problems, no pain, no grief, or mourning.You'd be with your loved ones.

I was trying to to reflect the permanent condition of the soul, notice I said good or bad. This is referring to your final destination, Heaven/hell...

So it would be a bad thing if you were in hell, or a good thing if you were in heaven.

I think I’ll be here on or near this world for several million years…which is not a very long time in my view of time. When you consider the fact that the planet has been growing as a result of stellar dust fall-out for about 4.5 billion years, hanging out here for a few million years looks like a cake walk to me. I’ll go back to Heaven occasionally I’m sure. But I’m really interested in this world because it is evolving, our culture is evolving and time is progressing. It is places like this that tell us about the evolution of Heaven experientially. So, you go to Heaven when you are done here. But for me the adventure is continuing along a path of progress that leads this world into a Paradise like state. Every day this world advances toward that goal.

Most people here seem to believe they are going to heaven?
Is this because the only other choices the churches offer is something like Dante's inferno?

What are they going to do when they get to heaven?
Would it not be pretty boring sitting on a cloud playing a harp for all eternity?

Is there anybody here that thinks this is a tiny bit vague or naive? How long do you think eternity is?

I have a problem with these answers. Do you think this is the reason why there are so many athiests in this world?

I was working out some biblical chronology the other day and what I worked out was if a person live to the proverbial three score and ten years then he/she has lived only circa one percent of the day on which God rested on the day of his rest from his works of creation.

I totality agree with your ans,Bestway, could it be that"heaven" so call is a misunderstood word,I took it to mean a place where there is no more war,pain,suffering,tear or sorrow.I don't think we be sitting on a cloud all day long,playing a harp,or trumpet.my thought was more like higher evolve,in our galaxy.so tell me what you think on this,if you want to. I'm going to heaven,there no two ways about it.my Father did not come to this world,just to be crucified in another persons place Jesus was the son of the Almighty God who created the heaven earth.
