      I believe everybody has worth and value, everybody is important. So, for some people to think they are better than everybody else, lives in a world of delusion.

        Daren and some other answers are spot on, "PRIDE" that is what makes us feel better than others. The truth is no one is better than anyone else.

        We are all capable of terrible things as well as beautiful selfless things.

          I to also believe that Pride is the best answer. But your answer is not the truth. Think about it. There are a lot of people better at certain things than others, there is nothing wrong with that. Having knowledge is a good thing. How you use it is another.

                  Some people are simply better than others in their circle of acquaintances. There are liars, con men, thieves, just to name a few. I am better than them because I am none of the above.

                    Are you sure about being better than other.Only God can ponder the heart,if you judge other no matter what they did,you must forgive them their trespass,you know when Jesus said if you so look at women,and lust after her,you already committed adultery in you heart,it could be your not looking in the right place?I be careful who I'm judging,what goes around come right back.

                    Facebook thank you for solving my problem. Bloody hell no wonder I feel tired all the time. So far today I have committed adultery with the lady in the fresh fruit and veg aisle, the lady choosing condoms, the teenager in the frozen food area, the man oops! how do I delete that?,then the check out chick. I haven`t even got to the chemist for my medication yet bloody hell. I can`t go to the doctor because she is next on the list. Oh well always tomorrow.

                        Some people are better than others. I personally am better than the serial murderer in prison. ;)

                        Some reasons that I think make people feel they are better than others.

                        Wealth

                        Stature

                        Extended education

                        Job (CEO or something similar)

                        Having doctor after your name.

                                A person that sees themselves as better than others is usually someone with a low self image. Also can have a ego problem, self centered.
