Bleep 25 is correct. The Kinneret-Negev Conduit robs the Jordan of its water and results in the drying up of the dead sea. This is an issue of extreme irritation to Palestinians and hoteliers living in the Dead sea areas. As an engineer I have long postulated that a solution to the problem may lies in building a second conduit from the Red Sea, but nobody seems to be aware the advantages of this.

Israel's biggest fresh water lake is the Sea of Galilee, also knows as the "Kinneret". It supply 25% of the water used by Israel.
Its also considered to be the lowest fresh water lake in the world.
