My 3 cats and I are a family. I don't have ANY human family, b/c My one sibling lives in another state, and he and his adult children don't pay much attention to me.
My step children and step-grandchildren live in another state, too. they used to communicate with me and I used to go down there, but they're drifting away , adn they never have come up here since my husb died ---- 11 years ago :-(
Yes, I do get a sense of love and family from you folks at akaQA Does anyone want
to adopt me ? :-D

Family are the group of people you can depend on as a whole when so called friends abandon you.You don't have to be related by direct bloodline.You can adopt or be adopted,step child/father/mother or they can be your wifes/husbands family so to speak.(My case).You know you are part of this family when they accept you for what you are & not what they can turn you into.

Families don't have to be necessarily a father, a mother and kids. Today we have different kinds of families. We have single parents, stepfathers or stepmothers, half brothers and sisters, or families without kids.

Families is a bunch of people who are living together who cate about each other. Sometimes, they don't have to be living together to be a family. We call our church congregation----our church family b/c we care about eachother. We help and support eachother.
