Thinking out loud : Auto trans has vacumn line to the engine carb etc . Manuel does not . The engine will run with out the trans ,not without the vacumn lines . Put some dish soap and water in a spray bottle ,with motor rounning spay some around carb not on or in . If there is a vacumn leak this seals it temp motor should smooth out .
