I am going to try this and let Steve be the judge.

    Ha! It's carnivore classic. !!

Limes, olive oil, garlic, shallots, salt and pepper...  a few secret ingredients and two hours of time to prepare ... plus hand made pita chips with Asiago cheese.

    Always a winner.  :)

For just an appetizer? Wie. I wonder at the meal itself!
    FISH-O

It is an appetizer. I do a stuffed mushroom dish with zucchini as a side dish. It is also delicious.
    Mushrooms as a main course?

I would probably do a play on French Mushroom soup with a hearty bread on the side. Or a play on a spinach salad with caralmalized onions, sautéed mushrooms and Rempell bacon. I would also bake fresh bread. With fresh cranberries..... perfection!!!!

Any time... Any excuse to have company visit is a great day for me and! I get to cook :)

Remove the stem. Bacon, sauteed garlic and onions, chopped stem, Panko, cream cheese combination to fill the cap. Bake in moderate temp til bubbly.

I have never cooked that and now I will try. I can't taste it because of the gluten and dairy. What seasonings are involved?
Do you sauté the garlic and onion before adding them to the stuffing?

    (I know, I have a million questions).

chop the bacon after crisp cooking and patting off the grease. Yes, sauteed minced onion and garlic. Stir all into cream cheese, using visual guideline for measurement. Not too much cream cheese needed. No salt needed at all. You can add a dash of cayenne or paprika....
A little parmesean cheese can be added

This sounds pretty grand. I have all of the ingredients so, I will make this tonight or tomorrow.

Let me know if they turn out well!
