    Do YOU cook with wine?

I sure do. I cook my homemade spaghetti sauce and sauteed mushrooms in wine and anything else that I think will benefit from a little bit of wine. I also use beer.

I thought of you as I added it. No fresh mushrooms I'm sad to admit.....

I use beer in cooking as well. It breaks down meat very well. "Tender" is the key.

I use beer for onion ring batter etc. LOL

Me as well. I am allergic to the gluten but it does make batters better.

I have been slowly but surely going through Julia Child's cookbook... she loved to cook with alcohol. Two days ago I caught one of her programs and by today's cooking standards, she looks like a hack.

I can tell you, her recipes taste amazing.

I liked her. Did you watch the movie. Julie and Julia?

@Fish....So, do you use gluten free beer? Does it work as well?
    FISH-O

No. Gluten is important in recipes.

I basically go by instinct and it usually works out.

@ CB... loved the movie. I thought it was beyond adorable.

@Fish....I'm confused. You "go by instinct"? So, you can eat food that contains beer/gluten? That would make me very ill.
    FISH-O

    I don't eat it I make it.

    Recipe books are my novels.

Then I ask for opinions and tweek.

I love cooking. It was the thing my sister and I did.

    Yes.

    You are not allergic?
    FISH-O

I know... the one thing I am not allergic to and use in cooking a lot. :)

Yes, wine, beer, brandy, whisky, all enhance flavors.

No , not really tried. Not one of my college meat cooking classes at Texas Tech even mention flavoring steaks or burgers with any type of liquor. Probably because good meat does not need flavoring.

As I alluded to above, there isn't link much about the new "20MAS" (this nickname link is in reference to the 2020 release year and the connection to the 62MAS) that I haven't already said in a previous post. For my wrist, it's the sweet spot in their lineup. It's not too big, it takes just about any link strap, and it both looks great and manages to offer refinement without the premium price point attached to watches like the true 62MAS reissue, the SLA017.

In 2018 our own Mr. Bues had the chance to sit down with the link legendary Mario Andretti and go through his collection. It was loaded with Heuers predictably but one watch stood out the Carrera ref. 1158. link From Jon's link Talking Watches
