Humboldt County, California has beautiful forests, Fern Canyon, and Six Rivers Natonal Park

Vancouver, B.C. is equally breathtaking, and so is "upstate" NY (Watertown / Alexandria Bay) in autumn.

Yes maam. I lived across the street from Mad River for several years....good times

I’ve seen many beautiful places and objects (thank you, bob) but what comes to mind right now is the world’s oldest tree in CA. The whole forest was alight to see………..

This is crazy but this place is the first place that came to my mind too ... what a spectacular place!

The Sir Charles Kingsford Smith airport in Brisbane Australia has struck me as the most beautiful place in the world on a couple of occasions. It's nice to be away (Sometimes),but it's always nice to see home.:)

I'm not really a religious person but this place was special.

The House of the Virgin Mary....................

    ""

House of Virgin Mary is located on the top of the "Bulbul" mountain 9 km ahead of Ephesus, the shrine of Virgin Mary enjoys a marvelous atmosphere hidden in the green. It is the place where Mary may have spent her last days. Indeed, she may have come into the area together with Saint John, who spent several years in the area to spread Christianity. Mary preferred this remote place rather than living in a crowded place.

I would like to thank you for something. A something that is important. I have watched your journey and paid attention. It is something pretty great.
Your name on akaQA actually ticks me off. I don't think it is becoming of you. The things I have read and the answers you give are far better than being that very angry man, for good reasons, obviously, .... any way, I think you are a good guy.

My name is Karen and it has been a pleasure witnessing your growth.

    With respect, I say goodbye.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpJOxbaC8YU I just want to make sure before I answer. My friend at work gave me the name. He doesn't even speak French so he didn't even know what he was saying. Just for the heck of it, decades later, I found out and told him about it. We had a big laugh. "What's in a name, anyway?" I'm just angry some of the time. Thanks for the compliments! Last summer, I met Julie and Phyllis in NY. We had lunch together. If you decide you're coming, let me know. Lunch will "be on me", that is, if I spill it!

Crater Lake in Oregon. Deepest lake in USA , and clearest. It was said to be the tallest point in North America very long time ago. Then the volcano erupted and it sank into the earth making a gigantic hole. No rivers flow into it . Little rain in summer, but very deep snow in winter keeps it full. Clear because little or no minerals . A very long walk down. Then you get to walk back UP. Long ago , it was stocked with trout. A group left I think from California , with 2500 trout. Several weeks later 8 lived to make the journey . By horseback I presume. If I understand it correctly. Very memorable trip.

The Great Ocean Road from Bells Beach to Port Fairy is well worth the a look for tourists visiting Victoria, there is no other coastline like it.  :)
