            Because you live on the wrong end of the planet Denis! If you prefer Summer you should move down here...Endless summer. We do have a few chiily days around about July but that's about it.

              Chilly, Not cold. Winter usually last from July 10th all the way thru July 13th.

              In my part of the country chilly is about 12 Deg.C.
              But we are having wierd weather at the moment.It actually snowed just outside of Sydney yesterday & it's Spring!!! At the same time Sydney got torrential rain & cyclonic wind.Wierd!

              Last winter we had several days with temperatures @ -30*C....yes that's a minus 30* Celcius! Ugh. That's unusually cold even for us but like you said Tommy, the weather is really weird. We have had a terrible summer too...cold and rainy....a lot.

                Probably, because in the colder climates, winter is a drag, and the more one complains about it, the worse it seems. A lot of those people can't get enough of summer, so it  seems to go by fast.
