Really worn out from those who believe God turns away from us. A parent may let his child flounder, but will pull him out of the water eventually. God's arm is always outstretched and waiting.

I agree with your comment, terry; those who choose to believe God is obligated to save us from ourselves are possibly the ones who are most skeptical and condescending of faith. What do you think?

Jesus's sacrifice certainly wasn't an obligation. It was a gift. You can take it or leave it. Does it come with expectations? Yes. Are they unreasonable? In my opinion, no.
