Good ol' Mrs. Andrews, my 10th grade typing teacher taught me to feel the home keys very well. I am a fairly good typist. Of course this was on manual typewriters, back in the 60's.. The typing tests were a hoot, she always gave me and the other guy (rest of class was girls) an extra piece of paper when she saw us struggling. We would flatter her, "Mrs. Andrews, what a lovely red dress you have on..." Fact was she only wore the one red dress, the girls would look and snarl at us, because they could not get away with that! Good memory, thanks for pulling it out for me!

hahah.Bustie, there was only 1 boy in my typing class in the 9th grade.But, I give him credit for taking typing. Back then in '63 and '64 it was thought that only girls take typing.

How things change! Mrs. Andrews would roll over.
I am living on borrowed time with what I'm typing on now.My ancient computer.
I HAVE A NEW IPAD air. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE IT AND I'M NOT ABLE TO GO TO THE SITE THAT ROMOS GAVE ME. I can't go and buy a book because my tires are shot. That's the priority.
Oh, this is boring. I'm distracting from life right now. My TV and my TWO computer bit the dust. boo hoo.

Mrs. Andrews would be out of a job, firstly, they do not teach typing, kids must learn keyboarding on own time. And she would be blown away by the technology.

They don't teach keyboarding?! That's terrible. Keyboarding is how many kids will earn their living - in some way. I've heard they are not teaching cursive either. My 8-year-old grand daughter had me write to her in cursive. She WANTS to learn it.

I write all sorts of things back to front ,and spelt wrong. That goodness for spell check.

I write my answer or comment, then if a word doesn't look right, I go to word ot excel and check it out on there, then go back to here and correct it. That's why sometimes you will see I have spelt something wrong, and then changed it 10 mins later.
