    3. Have you checked your smoke detectors lately? My mother's house caught on fire this morning when my brother forgot to turn stove burner off. Mom went to kaiser, only smoke inhalation. Detector rang & woke her up. She saved the household & woke them up.

      Oh my goodness.  I am glad all is OK.


       


      Smoke detectors beep when the batteries are running low.  Very useful bit of technology.

              Mom had the house insured with Allstate. They are putting in a totally new kitchen & new floors, and replacing damaged furniture. Mom is still staying with my brother, big fabulous house, and this weekend with my sister in Gilroy, California.
              Mom is happy as a lark. My baby brother is still a little upset that he caused the fire. My mom is Christian and forgives everybody for everything, well, almost everybody for most things.
