Hello there clu;
I can say that I really don't know this to be true. I have been staying away from the new questions and sticking with the old as I am a bit confused as to what we are actually supposed to answer. There are so many of the old questions, I am tackling them one subject at a time. I am now attempting to be efficient at it.
Have a good one, Fishlet.... today's theme is storybook homes...

It's the new rules, they're allowed to ask strange questions but not post strange answers.

I agree with YOU, clu, there HAVE been some real weird, odd, off-the-wall questions. I agree with Fishlet, too, that the opportunity to "tell it like it is" has been sharply curtailed in favor of being "politically correct". ROMOS makes another very valid point.
Sometimes a serious question asked in a less-than-stellar manner begs an answer that may not solve the problem or be oozing with courtesy. The fact is, we are, for all intents and purposes, being scolded for creativity and wit, which is not necessarily a BAD thing.
Colleen's remark, "...deserves a helpful and valid answer..." doesn't sit well with me. Some of THOSE questions "deserve" a sarcastic, blunt, condescending, and/or (yes) confrontational reply. Why do we have to dance around the truth...so we don't hurt someone's feelings? When did THAT become a priority?

Well I see you changed your comment. My comments apply to your original comment.
I change my character every time I change my hat. You should see me when I wear my sequined baseball cap backward.
