What do you mean by open source?

I'm guessing you are referring to the copyright ownership when you ask about open source?

Yes. I used the poem in a college essay. Now I wish to use that essay in an e-book containing my poems. How do I get permission to do this?

Billsartbox, you would need to contact the holders of copyright, Henry Holt and Company, LLC.
