Close any running web browsers. Click "Start" on your computer screen and choose "Control Panel."

Double-click "Add or Remove Programs" on the control panel window. A new window will open up showing the programs installed on your computer.

Click "Ask.com Bar" and then click "Remove." Click "Yes" to confirm and uninstall the search tool bar. Launch your web browser.
