      I had a Cesarian and gave birth that way, didn't feel a thing.....

        They say Caesarean born children have more intelligence - due to less trauma via the birth canal - I would have had to have an elective caesarean had I manufactured children small feel two and a half to three - small pelvic cavity.

        I had choice of how to give birth to my son and I said, "cut him out", didn't need labor to prove I was a woman, I was already pregnant....

        Anything injected into your spine should be carefully monitered by you!  Be careful with this numbing!

          It does not numb the whole body - medics know where to inject into the spine to numb the appropriate area and I believe as Colleen says - not  everyone responds - depends on them and the medic.

            ABSOUTELY!!! i WOULD NEVER USE ANYTHING ELSE. nO DRUGS SO YOU CAN BE AWAKE AND AWARE FOR THE MOST IMPORTANT AND BEAUTIFUL TIME OF YOUR LIFE!

              Any thing that numbs you is probably a DRUG!

              An epidural is the administration of a drug. I have heard it works but, I don't have personal experience. I can say that giving birth the natural way hurts like the dickens. :)

              It works for some women and does not work for others. It all depends on the woman and how her body responds to it.
