You can work any "under the table" job like mowing, baby sitting, odd jobs, or get your certificate and become a lifeguard.......

You have a point. When I was young I asked people, who were doing things like cutting their grass, weeds etc., or shoveling snow, to LET ME do that FOR them. Most were glad to take my offer.

When I was finished most would offer me MUCH MORE money than I would have asked them to PAY me, if I ask to do those type of jobs ;-)

Depends on how they were raised. Jack Large and I were raised "during the times".....

I remember when I received three pieces of candy for a penny, the Saturday movie was seven cents and a twelve ounce Pepsi was a nickel.

The problem was we did not have the money to buy to buy anything.

Today I am a position that permitted me to give away millions to Colleges, Schools and Hospitals ;-)

Wow! And do you? I assume so. Don't forget the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetic Asso.
I remember when Taco Bell was .25 or .29 for meat items.....
    You give good answers WBMG.....

I once severed on a local Board for a County ACS back in the eighties.

When I asked to see the salary scale for the employees, I was told you have no NEED to see that.

I resigned from the Board and stopped all donations to the American Cancer Society

I have the same problem with the American Red Cross. In addition, donors do not know that when they give money to the Red Cross for people affected by a particular disaster, such as "Sandy," their donation does NOT go the victims! Only HALF of ALL ARC donation go to the victims, the other half goes to the Red Cross general fund.

The best way to actually give to the victims is to donate to the Salvation Army or other Church run charities. IMO

Thanks for that info. I kind of knew it and am leery of who I donate to. Like the Haitian earthquake, I wanted the cloths I donated to go to the victims and not just to stores to be sold.

Yes, you can help coach our soccer team. ;)

If you are in the USA Yes, but you need to acquire "Working Papers," from your local School District and there are restrictions, as to the time of day and the type of jobs, with the exception of Farm Work

We don't really have any jobs here, but we may need a moderator someday, and you can help with that. When we have an actual job, then sure. :)

We do not work here, just play!
