Would you reccomend deep frying your turkey for Thanksgiving or baking...?

heard someone talking about deep frying their turkey - was curious which tasted better - I was told it takes a lot less time and is more moist

Roasting a turkey is the way to go.  It is far healthier, safer and traditional.

I don't eat turkey. I am allergic to turkey. I have roasted quite a few though.

Ha ha! Dowsa, step away from the Ducks and Don't forget to FREE THE CHICKENS!

The oil for frying a turkey is expensive and you end up with a bird that taste just like a bird. Baking is the way to go, you can season to taste and fancy it up some........

To buy the fryer and set it all up and worry about

the safety of it all...to me it's not worth the trouble.

You have to set that thing up outdoors I think.

Wouldn't you prefer the nice wafting aroma of the

turkey as it cooks in the oven?

Roast it in a buttered paper grocery bag, it self-bastes, and cooks a bit faster, and is moist!

Never heard of that but it sounds good.
Paper grocery bags are scarcer than hens teeth here. lol ;)

...and if you want more flavor and juice; mix sherry and melted butter and inject away,(large barrel needle) in heavy meaty areas prior to bagging the bird!

Drunk turkey, eh? I think I've heard of drunk chicken...sounds delish! You're quite the chef.

Just do the easiest and simple thing , bake it.

No, I do not recommend deep frying a turkey.

It is very ttrickyto place a Turkeyinto to hot oil.

It must be completely defrosted, or the oil will boil over and can catch fire when the oil hits the burner.

Its easier and safer to bake it.

Buy a Crown only cut it in half put each half in a roasting bag with butter or Goose grease and put them in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes a pound and hopefully it won't dry out on you and taste like card board you also have less waste too
