It was a honeymoon, but we took her daughter, so it was also a vacation. My first trip to the southern Philippines. A little bit of getting lost, partying with the in-laws, massive traffic jams where the rule of the road belongs to the biggest vehicle, being followed around by kids that have rarely seen an American, small children afraid because they thought I was a ghost (light skin), standing on a miniature volcano, and experiencing fruits I had never heard of.

All my childhood holidays by the coast..ice cream..buckets n spades...swimming in the sea and pool...being allowed to stay up late!!;-)....sandcastles..rock pooling..just totally magical!!:-)

STILL...go there...has brill memories!...and now are trying to recreate,as best we can...the magic of it for our kids!!(seems to be working..so far)!!!;-)
